Department of Art

LIU Post is a vibrant and exciting place to create! Within the inspiring setting of our 307-acre campus on the scenic Long Island Gold Coast, our studio classes are led by a distinguished faculty of practicing artists who help develop your unique and full potential.

Our comprehensive bachelor's and master's degree programs are designed for serious, talented students who desire an education that balances a strong liberal arts background with conservatory fine arts training.

Renowned visiting artists and art historians conduct lectures, critiques, and seminars, and every student has access to numerous art studios, state-of-the-art imaging, student exhibition galleries, and the university’s permanent collection and ongoing new exhibitions in the Hillwood Art Museum.

Less than an hour from Manhattan, you’ll have easy access to the rich New York City art, culture, and creative resources.
