Brentwood, N.Y. - A Master of Business Administration degree can be the key to a great career. Beginning September 5, the Brentwood Campus of Long Island University will offer the fully accredited C.W. Post M.B.A. program designed to accommodate busy Suffolk County residents through convenient evening and weekend classes.
The 48-credit M.B.A. program - accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, a distinction shared by just 10 percent of all college business degrees worldwide - provides a comprehensive education in management, marketing, finance, accounting, international business and management information systems.
"The new M.B.A. provides students with the knowledge, skills and analytical tools to perform successfully, ethically and professionally in today's dynamic business world," said Marlyne Hynds, associate provost for the Brentwood Campus. "Graduates will be ready for well-paying and rewarding business careers. This degree also can enhance the earning power of people in other fields, such as public service, non-profit agencies, health care or education."
Registration is underway now for the first cohort of students to begin studies on September 5. This degree program is registered at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. Students must complete a residency requirement.
Prospective students can meet admissions counselors and M.B.A. program representatives at Enrollment Services Day on Thursday, August 23 and 30, 2007 from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Student Lounge on the second floor at the Brentwood Campus, 100 Second Avenue in Brentwood. No appointment is necessary. Attendees are encouraged to bring transcripts.
The Brentwood Campus offers graduate programs in education, criminal justice, library and information science and business administration on 172 acre tree-lined property owned by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The Campus also offers a bachelor's degree in criminal justice.
A variety of campus-based, state and federal financial assistance is available. Graduates of Brentwood Campus programs are eligible for the new Brentwood Alumni Scholarship, a one-third tuition discount.
