About the Field
According to industry research, nurses with baccalaureate degrees have the greatest opportunity for job advancement in the nursing field, because technological advances in patient care will expand the need for nurses with more advanced training. A bachelor's degree is preferred – and often required – for positions in military nursing, case management, public health nursing, forensic nursing and school nursing. In addition, a bachelor's degree is a prerequisite to a master's degree, which can lead to even greater income and career choices.
Our graduates have secured rewarding positions with the region's leading health care providers, including hospitals and private practices. Students in the LIU Post nursing program benefit from the faculty's professional experience and career counseling support.
