Best of Brooklyn Collegiate Job Fair at LIU Brooklyn
Free internship and career event for students of eight participating colleges

Brooklyn, N.Y. – Students and alumni of eight participating colleges can advance their careers on Tuesday, April 3, at the Best of Brooklyn Collegiate Job/Internship Fair, hosted by LIU Brooklyn. The job fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the campus’s Schwartz Gymnasium.
Other participating institutions are Brooklyn College, Kingsborough Community College, Medgar Evers College, NYC College of Technology, Polytechnic Institute of New York University, St. Francis College and St. Joseph’s College.
More than 85 employers have already registered for the fair. “They are eager to tap into the qualified talent we have in our universities right over the bridge,” said Stephanie Steinberg, LIU Brooklyn’s assistant dean for career services and senior year advising. She added, “Our goal is to assist employers with their recruitment needs and to give our students an opportunity to meet a variety of employers and secure internship and jobs.”
Representing a range of industries, the employers at the fair include Aflac, American Museum of Natural History, Apple, Baanyan Software Services, Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, Con Edison, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Imagine Early Learning Centers, MTA-Metro North Railroad, Museum of Jewish Heritage, New York State Department of Labor, NY Perks Music Group, NYU Langone Medical Center, Raymour & Flanigan Furniture, Human Resources Administration/Department of Social Services, Visiting Nurse Service of New York and WABC-TV. LIU is hosting the Best of Brooklyn Collegiate Job/Internship Fair for the third time.
“It is one of many services that LIU Brooklyn offers to students to support their career development,” said Steinberg, adding, “We appreciate the strong collaboration with the seven participating schools.”
To be admitted to the fair, students must be currently enrolled in or be alumni of one of the eight participating colleges. Students must wear business attire, present their student ID and bring copies of their resume.
