LIU Brooklyn Hosts Spring Open House April 21

Brooklyn, N.Y. – College-bound students, working professionals, and career changers are invited to explore the diverse programs and landscaped grounds of LIU Brooklyn during the campus’s Spring Open House on Sunday, April 21. Undergraduate presentations take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and graduate presentations are from 11 a.m to 1 p.m

Application fees will be waived for anyone who applies for admission at the Spring Open House.

Admissions Dean Alexander Scott said, “The Open House is an excellent time for students and their families to explore and get a thorough understanding of the programs and facilities at LIU Brooklyn. At the Spring Open House, prospective students engage with current students and faculty, giving them a true feeling of the atmosphere of the campus. At LIU Brooklyn, everything we do is designed with one purpose in mind: to help you find out how good you really are.”

Highlights of the day include…

• Tour the 11-acre campus with its fountains, trees and colorful spring flowers.
• Learn about LIU Brooklyn’s more than 200 undergraduate and graduate programs.
• Speak with representatives from enrollment, financial services, student services and academic departments.
• Discover how LIU Brooklyn can help make a private education affordable.
 
LIU Brooklyn is located in downtown Brooklyn at the corner of DeKalb and Flatbush avenues only a few blocks from Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM). It is close to Brooklyn Heights, Park Slope and Williamsburg, and a 10-minute subway ride from Manhattan.

The array of amenities offered by LIU Brooklyn includes a $45-million Wellness, Recreation and Athletic Center (WRAC), which features an eight-lane swimming pool; the Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts, which provides free or low-cost access to world-class performances; and the Cyber Cafe, a popular campus eatery and meeting place that offers free computer resources and technical assistance.
