Kenza Benzeroual Named Assistant Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at LIU Pharmacy

Dean Stephen Gross announced that Associate Professor Kenza Benzeroual has been appointed assistant dean for academic and student affairs at LIU Pharmacy (The Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences).
Dr. Benzeroual is a tenured associate professor in the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She has a Ph.D. in pharmacology from the Medical School at Montreal University and was a postdoctoral fellow and research scientist at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at Columbia University.
Her teaching at LIU has been at both the professional and graduate level in physiology, pharmacology, and pharmacogenomics. She has served on many faculty committees and has administrative experience as the graduate program advisor in the Division of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
“Dr. Benzeroual will make a fine addition to the college’s administrative staff,” said Dean Gross. “At the same time, we express our thanks and appreciation to Dr. Lorraine Cicero, who has been serving in this position since 2007 and will return to her faculty position. She has introduced and created new procedures and activities during her time that have served our students well.”
