The Shadow Box Theatre, a children’s musical puppet theater whose mission is to open doorways of communication between New York’s inner-city, multi-cultural children and families through the transformative power of theater, will present The Earth & Me this month at Kumble Theater for the Performing Arts at LIU Brooklyn.
With a flowing tapestry of song, dance, puppetry, and music, The Earth & Me inspires children with hope and empowerment. Through the performance, children learn how they can help protect the earth’s delicate balance through harmony, tolerance, and peace.
Shadow Box Theatre offers a full range of services and activities that include, resident and city-wide performing seasons of productions; creative art workshops in New York City schools and cultural centers; and illustrated storybooks and educational materials. Through all its programs, Shadow Box Theatre reaches more than 35,000 children, teachers, and parents each year.
Performances of The Earth & Me will be held on Sunday, May 18, at 2 p.m., as well as Monday through Wednesday, May 19 to 21, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Tickets can be purchased through the Shadow Box Theatre at 212-724-0677 or shadowboxtheatre.org.
