Frances E. Iacobellis

Assistant Professor of Nursing

Frances Iacobellis, B.S., M.S., RN, received a bachelor’s degree from Hunter-Bellevue, City University of New York, and a master’s degree in nursing education from Wagner College. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in nursing at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. Her expertise is in pediatric nursing having worked for 27 years in pediatrics, pediatric intensive care units and the pediatric emergency room.

Professor Iacobellis previously served as nurse educator for New York University Medical Center where she was responsible for the orientation and staff development of all nursing staff in the Pediatric Unit and the Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatal Intensive Care units as well as general orientation for all new nurses.

In her most recent position, as associate director of the Registered Nurse Training and Job Security Fund, which was a joint partnership of the League of Voluntary Hospitals and 1199 SEIU Healthcare Workers Union, Professor Iacobellis coordinated, implemented and evaluated grant-funded projects for nursing education.

Professor Iacobellis currently teaches the Pharmacology and Nursing Care of Children and Their Families courses in the undergraduate program.
