Description

Dr. Andrew Livanis is a New York State-certified school psychologist and behavior analyst. Dr. Livanis worked as a school psychologist for ten years prior to joining the faculty at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus. While in that capacity, he worked to transcend the traditional role of a school psychologist by serving as a behavioral consultant and a bilingual technical support professional. In addition he founded and helped to manage, along with a multidisciplinary team, programs for children with autism and children with severe emotional disabilities. Currently, Dr. Livanis consults with several districts in the areas of autism and dealing with significant behavior problems within the classroom. In addition, he conducts research on consultation, autism and instructional capacity within the classroom.
