Dr. Maydick has more than thirty years of multifaceted Medical Surgical Nursing experience (staff, supervisory, educational, and clinical research) in a variety of care settings. She is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Medical Surgical Nursing and certified as a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) by the WOCN - Certification Board. She lectures nationally on various topics related to WOCN care and maintains a clinical practice in an academic tertiary care center in New York City.
Professional Activities include active involvement in the WOCN Society and serving as a reviewer for the Journal of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing, Ostomy/Wound Management, and Nursing Economic$. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the Nursing Education Alumni Association of Teachers College Columbia University, Hunter College Alumni Association (City University of New York), the American Organization of Nurse Executives and the New York Organization of Nurse Executives.
