Dr. Peffer is active in public administration scholarly endeavors. She held the position of managing editor of Public Administration Review, the journal of record for the American Society of Public Administration, from 2000-2006, and she currently serves as legal editor for the Review of Public Personnel and Administration. Dr. Peffer has contributed to the International Encyclopedia of Public Policy and Administration and has published in several academic journals. In addition, she serves as an external reviewer for several academic journals.
Dr. Peffer has been a lecturer in the Public Administration Program in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Texas at Dallas. She is a former Peace Corp Volunteer, who served in Niger, West Africa, and worked for the Nigerian Ministry of Health. Dr. Peffer also has worked for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, Ohio, in the Law Reform and Public Policy Department.
