Admissions Requirements

To be admitted into this program you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • 2.75 minimum undergraduate GPA
  • Initial NYS teaching certification
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Statement of professional goals

Tuition Opportunity for Working Bilingual Teachers

Certified teachers working in bilingual classrooms without the Bilingual Extension may be eligible to receive generous tuition assistance from the New York State Education Department’s Intensive Teacher Institute for Bilingual Education teachers.
