Dear Prospective Student,

Welcome to LIU Brooklyn's School of Nursing website. We are very pleased that you have chosen to visit this site. The School of Nursing is a wonderful place to pursue your professional nursing education. As you embark upon this journey, we are available to assist you at every turn. The profession of nursing is becoming more exciting and dynamic each day and your educational path here is designed to prepare you for the challenge of nursing in the 21st century.

The School of Nursing offers a wide variety of programs, from the generic baccalaureate nursing program, the part-time evening and weekend generic baccalaurete nursing program and the 15-month second degree baccalaureate program; the RN/BS Connection, to the Master of Science Nurse Practitioner and the Nurse Educator program. Our faculty members, who are our greatest asset, are well-prepared clinicians, scholars and academicians, who will help to guide you through the professional phase of your program. Our academic advisors and staff are on hand to help you throughout your entire course of study.

In addition, our clinical affiliations throughout New York City, and in the borough of Brooklyn in particular, offer every type of professional experience available, from world-class teaching facilities and medical centers to neighborhood storefront clinics. This allows us to offer clinical placements that are diverse and stimulating. We hope that you find the School of Nursing and the LIU Brooklyn campus the type of place where you can pursue your personal and professional goals in nursing.
