Admissions Requirements

To be admitted to this program you must:

  • Be a registered nurse with a baccalaureate degree in nursing from a Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education or National League for Nursing accredited program 
  • Be licensed as a registered nurse in New York State 
  • Have a minimum grade-point average of 2.5 in all baccalaureate courses and a 3.0 in nursing courses 
  • Have taken baccalaureate courses in health/physical assessment, statistics and research 
  • Have a minimum of one year of current clinical experience, 2 years preferred 
  • Submit a personal statement of professional goals 
  • Submit three professional references 
  • Complete a personal interview 
  • Read and sign the Essential Behaviors document (available through the directors of the graduate nursing program)
