The Undergraduate generic tracks are divided into two phases: the pre-professional phase and the professional phase.
The School of Nursing requires that students complete and pass all Liberal Art and Science courses before beginning the professional phase of the program.
A student's program of study may be extended if the student is placed in proficiency mathematics, biology, and the English Department Writing Program.
Progression into the professional phase of the program requires that students maintain a minimum overall grade-point average of 2.5 and a minimum average of 2.5 in science courses. Students cannot earn less than a ‘C’ in any science course.
In addition to satisfying all prerequisite courses students must pass the HESI A2 exam with the required minimum score of 75 in the English composite areas of vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension; and a minimum score of 75 in the math.
