How to Use My LIU 

My LIU – my.liu.edu – is an online portal for managing your student account, paying your bills online, registering for classes, accessing your @liu.edu email, academic records, Blackboard, and a number of other LIU student services.

If you need assistance in viewing your bill online, or in making a payment online, please visit the My LIU Student Help Center Web site.

Go to my.liu.edu and click the “Activate My Account” button at the top right of the screen.

You will need:

  • social security number or student ID number
  • date of birth
  • displayed security code

Students only need to activate their MyLIU account once.


In order to secure your seat at LIU and enroll for classes, first you must submit your Tuition Deposit. 

  • Log in to your My LIU account.
  • Click "Make an E-Payment" to access the Payment Gateway.
  • Select the “eDeposit” item from the top menu bar.
  • Select the term you are making a Tuition Deposit for (e.g., Fall 2015) and then select the “LIU Tuition E-Deposit” item below. The Tuition Deposit amount will appear with the term below. Click “Continue” to make a check or credit card payment online.
  • To process your Tuition Deposit, select your payment method. LIU accepts electronic checks and all major
    credit cards.
  • To finalize your online payment via electronic check or credit card, review the transaction details and click
    “Submit Payment” to process the transaction.

Once your online Tuition Deposit is processed, the Admissions Office will finalize your record and the
Registrar will matriculate your account for the upcoming term. This process generally takes 24-48 hours;
you will receive confirmation in your MyLIU email account once this step is complete. Go to the Center
for Student Information at csi.liu.edu for detailed instructions on using our Self Service features. Once
matriculated, you can use many of the Self Service features available in your MyLIU account, including the
ability to pay your tuition bill online. 


  • Log in to your My LIU account. Your My LIU Student Center page will be displayed.
  • Click on the “Account Inquiry” link from within the “Finances” section, and your current statement will appear.


  • Log in to your My LIU account. Your My LIU Student Center page will be displayed.
  • Click on the “Make a Payment” link from the Student Center home page, or from within the “Account Inquiry” section to access the My LIU Payment Gateway, and pay your bill.

If someone else is going to make a Tuition Deposit or pay bills on your behalf

  • Log in to your My LIU account. Your My LIU Student Center page will be displayed.
  • Click on the “Make a Payment” link from the Student Center home page, or from within the “Account Inquiry” section, to access the My LIU Payment Gateway. From here, click on the "Authorized Users" tab to add an authorized user. 
  • Enter their email address in the field. You have the option to hide payment history from each Authorized User you create. This individual will not have access to your MyLIU account – they can only log into the Payment Gateway.
  • Click continue when you have completed the selections, then review the Agreement to Add Authorized User and click Continue.
Note: Those users authorized by you will only be able to view financial activity, either in summary or in detailed format, depending upon your selection.
