Walk-in Hours: Undergraduate students may come by our office in Pratt 510 for walk-in appointments during the times listed below. Please note that for certain services, such as mock interviews or SDS/Strong assessment interpretations appointments will be recommended to ensure adequate service time. During walk-in hours, the counselor on duty can provide some basic services such as: answer your questions, share information about our services and programs, review a resume or cover letter you have prepared, provide interviewing tips, and offer other general services. Please note the timeframe for the visit will be brief, partially dependent on the number of students needing service at that time. The counselor will ensure you connect for another visit for follow-up services as needed.

Appointments: Appointments are recommended to ensure adequate time to cover students’ needs. Call 718-488-1042 to schedule an appointment with a counselor. To best serve you, counselors are assigned to work with students in specific majors.
LIU Brooklyn Graduate students seeking to meet with a counselor in our office should schedule appointments through our receptionist at 718.488.1042. Graduate students not able to have an in-office appointment or who would prefer to speak with a counselor remotely, as well as alumni who graduated LIU Brooklyn over a year ago, should contact our part-time distance career counselor, Cathy Rimsky: firstname.lastname@example.org. Cathy works 10 hours per week; please allow 24-72 hours for her to respond to you.
