Alms Alliance of HEOP

The Alms Alliance of HEOP is open to all students of LIU Brooklyn. It focuses on issues concerning higher education, financial aid, peer counseling, tutoring, charitable contributions, recycling for a better atmosphere, and multicultural bonding and support.

Anime Connection Club

The Anime club unites people who share anime as a common hobby. Its goal is to educate and expose the LIU community to anime, to make comics, and to encourage art and community.

Colleges Against Cancer

The organization seeks to raise awareness about cancer by raising money to aid in cancer research as well as patients’ road to recovery. In addition, the organization provides moral support for all those affected by cancer.

Dynamic Designs Fashion Club

The purpose of this organization is to bring school spirit and great fashion to LIU students. This organization focuses on many different types of talent that the students of this university have. Models, designers, journalist, and photographers are welcome to join to help celebrate the fashion culture of Long Island University.

LIU Pep Squad

The mission of the LIU Blackbird Pep Squad is to support the athletic teams, represent the school, and promote school spirit and unity.

LIU Student Veteran Association (LIUSVA)

LIUSVA’s purpose is to serve as the definitive organization advocating for student veteran issues and as a support for student veterans on campus.

Model UN Club

Our purpose is to aid students to develop leadership and decision-making skills by teaching them conflict resolution, public speaking skills, and debating. This club also provides extensive knowledge on the UN. Working in the Model UN, students will gain experience in researching and learn negotiation skills.

Queer Straight Alliance

Queer Straight Alliance is a social organization that serves the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, and ally (GLBTQA) student community of LIU Brooklyn. QSA fights to ensure recognition, equality, and respect for all members of the GLBTQA student population and opposes any forms of discrimination.


SET is a branch of the Student Government that operates under the auspices of the Office of Student Life & Leadership Development to monitor and assist other student organizations with events and safety. They participate in comprehensive awareness training toward the successful operation of their tasks. Their main mission is to assist with the smooth execution and safety of student events, with coat check, I.D. check, and with being hosts at banquets and sporting events. SET also has a unit called the Student Task Force that assists with safety issues at student events.

Students 4 Growing Interest For Transplantation (S4GIFT)

This organization aims to educate students about tissue and bone marrow donation, as well as empower them to engage with their community and future patients. The organization is open to all students of LIU Brooklyn, especially with a focus in health care studies.

Student Activities Board

All honors program students are members of the SAB, which organizes educational and social functions for members and for the university community. This club is open to all students.

Student Environmental Action (SEA)

The purpose of this organization is to promote clean energy and new energy-efficient technology, reducing LIU’s greenhouse gas emissions. This organization works to stop global warming and in doing so saving money on energy costs.
