Learning Communities LIU BrooklynLIU Brooklyn Learning Communities (LIUBLC)

A learning community is a group of students who take some of their required core classes together. The learning community program works with exceptional first year students like you who want to enhance their core curriculum education based on a particular theme. Students who participate in the program not only get academic advantages, but also are provided with avenues toward leadership and internship opportunities on and off campus.

If you join an LIU Brooklyn Learning Community, you can ...

  • Satisfy your core requirements
  • Boost your chances of academic success
  • Make new friends
  • Get to know the faculty
  • Be part of a close-knit, supportive community
  • Broaden your learning
  • Discover New York City arts and culture
  • Celebrate your accomplishments
