Endowed scholarships are established through the generosity of alumni, friends, corporations and foundations. Of the 73 permanent Brooklyn campus scholarships, many were created to honor or memorialize a favorite professor, a cherished classmate or a beloved spouse. These scholarships are awarded annually based on the criteria set forth by the donor. During the 2010-2011 academic year, $518,000 was awarded in tuition assistance through this program.
