Associate Director's Bio
Joanne Hyppolite, Ph.D.
Completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Long Island University and is currently the Associate Director of Student Support Services where she is responsible for designing and implementing a comprehensive program of services to meet the needs of students with disabilities as well as those who are generally underrepresented in post-secondary institutions. Dr. Hyppolite is also an Assistant Professor and teaches both Graduate and Undergraduate classes in developmental disorders, bilingual assessment, personality theory and multicultural counseling. Her research interest include ethnicity, race and attitudes towards therapy amongst Caribbean Blacks (dissertation) as well as mental health utilization among persons of African descent.
