At the forefront of American and global discussions on Islam, Ms. Khan is an American Muslim woman helping create a counter momentum to extremism by shaping the discourse on Islam in America and around the globe. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Interfaith Center’s Award for Promoting Peace and Interfaith Understanding, Auburn Seminary’s Lives of Commitment Award, the Annual Faith Leaders Award, and 21 Leaders for the 21st Century.
This event is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the LIU Post Library, LIU Post Development and Alumni Relations, Hutton House Lectures, and others. It is supported by a grant from the New York Council for the Humanities and John P McGrath Fund of Long Island University.
