Prudence Wright Holmes is the author of the books Monologue Mastery and Voices of Thinking Jewish Women. She also wrote the plays Call Me William, The Life and Loves of Willa Cather, Mrs. Lincoln’s Dressmaker, Duncan and Vanessa, Sister Girl and co-wrote Beat Chick.
As an actor, she has appeared in the films Sister Act I and II, Kingpin, In Dreams, My Own Love Song and After.Life. On Broadway, she appeared in Happy End, Lettice and Lovage, Inherit the Wind and The Light in the Piazza. She wrote and performed her critically-acclaimed solo show Bexley, OH! at New York Theatre Workshop. The Associated Press said, “You’re in the hands of a master storyteller.”
