Maria Mazziotti Gillan is a recipient of the 2011 Barnes & Noble Writers for Writers Award from Poets & Writers, and the 2008 American Book Award for her book, All That Lies Between Us (Guernica Editions). She is the Founder /Executive Director of the Poetry Center at Passaic County Community College in Paterson, NJ, and editor of the Paterson Literary Review. She is also Director of the Creative Writing Program and Professor of Poetry at Binghamton University-SUNY. She has published 16 books, and among her most recent are The Place I Call Home (NYQ Books, 2012) and Writing Poetry to Save Your Life: How to Find the Courage to Tell Your Stories (MiroLand, Guernica, 2013). In 2013 she also published The Silence in an Empty House (NYQ Books) and Ancestors’ Song (Bordighera Press). With her daughter, Jennifer, she is co-editor of four anthologies.

Laura Boss is a prolific poet, literary translator, and winner of many awards, including New Jersey’s William Carlos Williams Award and American Literary Translators Award. She is extremely active in poetry circles, conducting workshops and judging both poetry and fiction contests. She is the founder and editor of Lips magazine and the author of several collections including Flashlight (Guernica Editions, 2010) Arms: New & Selected Poems (Guernica Editions, 1999), Reports from the Front (Cross-Cultural Communications, 1995). Her poetry has also appeared in numerous journals including Abraxas, Ambit, Greenfield Review, and The New York Times.
