LIU Post School of Professional Accountancy to Host Open House on February 4

Brookville, N.Y. – LIU Post’s School of Professional Accountancy will host an accounting open house on Saturday, February 4, 2012 in room 100 of Lorber Hall on the Brookville campus. LIU Post (formerly known as the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University) prepares students for all aspects of this growing industry, including tax preparation, computer auditing and financial planning.
Job opportunities abound for accountants and tax professionals in today’s complex business environments. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that accountancy and taxation are one of the fastest-growing career fields, expanding by 22% through 2018. An entry-level accountant in New York State can expect to earn approximately $50,000 annually in their first year. The median income for an experienced professional in this field is roughly $80,000 annually.
Attend the open house to learn about accounting and admissions scholarships, financial assistance and paid internships that may lead to full-time jobs in a number of rewarding fields.
