Reginald Ross is New Dean of Admissions at LIU Post

Brookville, N.Y. – Dr. Reginald Ross, an experienced leader in university admissions, enrollment management, college readiness and graduation rate enhancement, has accepted the position of associate provost and dean of admissions at LIU Post, formerly known as the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University. He joined the university, located in Brookville, N.Y., on June 11.
Dr. Ross will lead strategic enrollment planning at the undergraduate and graduate levels, directing domestic and international student recruitment, developing campus-wide marketing messaging and collaborating with the Financial Assistance Office to ensure maximum access to a private college education at LIU Post.
Dr. Ross brings two decades of admissions experience to Long Island University. After achieving a tenured position as Associate Professor of Psychology and Department Chair at Bloomfield College, he became Dean of Enrollment Management/Student Academic Services at Montclair State University. There, he produced the largest honors class in school history while overseeing a 45 percent increase in applications, expanding recruitment and enrollment initiatives, achieving excellent graduation and retention rates, and increasing diversity.
Most recently at Coppin State, he created a financial student outreach program to assist students in meeting their financial obligations to the university, and implemented a five-year Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. He managed an administrative unit that included Admissions, Financial Aid, Records & Registration, Academic Advising, Upward Bound, Student Support Services, Summer Academic Success Academy, Student Success Center, and the Freshmen Male Initiative.
At LIU Post, Dr. Ross will report to Dr. Paul Forestell, provost of Long Island University's campuses in Brookville (LIU Post), Brentwood (LIU Brentwood) and Riverhead (LIU Riverhead). "Reggie Ross's vision for increasing enrollment and student success tracks closely with the responsive, student-centered approach we have established at LIU Post," said Dr. Forestell.
Dr. Ross will collaborate with the LIU Post Division for Student Success in developing, implementing, and evaluating retention strategies. Finally, working with other senior staff, he will develop marketing strategies and reorganize all recruiting and admissions functions to achieve the campus strategic enrollment goals.
Dr. Ross received an M.S. and Ph.D. in Applied Psychology (industrial/organizational) from Stevens Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Psychology from Xavier University.
