Brookville, N.Y. – Citing interesting and accessible professors, flexible schedules and an excellent overall academic experience, The Princeton Review has listed LIU Post’s business school among the nation’s best.
The influential college guide announced this week that for the 11th straight year, the College of Management at LIU Post is included in “The Best 295 Business Schools” for 2014.
“We recommend the College of Management at LIU Post as one of the best institutions a student could attend to earn a business school degree,” said Robert Franek, Princeton Review senior vice president and publisher. “We chose the schools we profile in this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and our reviews of institutional data we collect from the schools.”
The Princeton Review survey asks LIU business students about their schools’ academics, student body and campus life, as well as about themselves and their career plans. Along with interesting and accessible professors, the group praised the M.B.A. program’s flexible schedule and said they enjoyed LIU Post’s scenic campus.
The LIU Post M.B.A. program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International and is among the 5 percent of business schools in the world to hold that distinction. The faculty includes graduates of Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Cornell and NYU.
Dr. Andrew Rosman, dean of the College of Management, said, “Our consistently high marks from The Princeton Review confirm that the commitment of our faculty and staff to LIU Post students makes the College of Management one of the region’s premier business schools. We are proud to have been listed again.”
Comments from surveyed students include:
- “The professors are always willing to clarify content and go the extra mile. Most have considerable real-world experience.
- "I would truly recommend others for this program. Flexibility is key when you have a full-time job."
- "The differing perspectives at Post help to broaden the overall attitude of students and faculty alike. You learn something new every day."
The M.B.A. at LIU Post is a comprehensive, integrated, 36- to 48-credit program that combines the highest levels of academic rigor and real-world relevance, while emphasizing ethics and social responsibility. The LIU Post M.B.A. offers several flexible options to support individual interests, career objectives and busy schedules.
Students may pursue their education on a full- or part-time basis during weeknights and/or the Saturday Program. Concentrations available include finance, management, marketing and international business. In addition, LIU Post's accelerated programs allow qualified students to complete their Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree and M.B.A. in only five years.
