Post and Beyond Symposium Highlights Student Work
April 23 Symposium on academic research, experiential education, and community service

First launched in 2011, the Post & Beyond symposium, will be held on April 23 and highlights student participation in academic research, experiential education, and community service, to promote the importance co-curricular experience to a student’s education.
The symposium will feature posters, developed by the students that explain their personal experiences. A total of 30 researched projects will be presented and the LIU community is invited to view the posters, which will be displayed in the Goldsmith Atrium at the Tilles Center, and chat with the students about their experiences. There will also be an awards ceremony, where nine awards will be given to students and faculty who have engaged in or who have supported exceptional experiential education or community service activities.
The symposium is coordinated by Glynis Pereyra, Ph.D., assistant dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at LIU Post; April M.H. Blakeslee, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology at LIU Post; Scott Santagata, Ph.D., assistant professor of biology at LIU Post; and the Career Services Department, including Jason Cascone, director of Career Services at LIU Post, Roni Badrian, and Lisa Santoro, both assistant directors of Career Services at LIU Post.
The LIU community is encouraged to attend this event on April 23, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Goldsmith Atrium at the Tilles Center at LIU Post.
