Sarah DeCamp,Associate Director of Public Relations
Jeff Leventhal will hold a lecture on “Value Creation Moments,” at the Outside the Box lecture series on Thursday, April 16, from 12:30 to 2 p.m., in the lower level of the B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library, room 130. His lecture will focus on key moments during the creation of a startup where extreme value is added.
Leventhal, a serial entrepreneur, has been building innovative, labor technology companies for more than 14 years. He is the CEO and co-founder of Work Market, an enterprise software business that manages contract labor and provides a marketplace of onsite freelance workers. A venture-backed business, started in 2010, Work Market targets companies having a contingent labor budget of $1 million or more annually. Prior to Work Market, Leventhal was a founder of OnForce and Remote Lojix.
“This lecture provides a great opportunity for students to learn about what really matters when creating a startup,” said Andrew Rosman, dean of the College of Management at LIU Post. “Leventhal’s extensive experience will give students valuable insight into what it takes to be an entrepreneur.”
The Outside the Box informal lectures are free and open to the LIU community. This is the final lecture in the series for this semester.
