Learn the Latest in Mental Health Counseling
Attend LIU Post’s Seventh Annual Mental Health Counseling Symposium

LIU Post will host the seventh annual Mental Health Counseling Symposium on Saturday, March 22, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The symposium will provide attendees with an update on the mental health counselor licensure law and regulations. In addition, 12 clinical workshops will be offered on a variety of mental health issues throughout the day.
The Mental Health Counseling Symposium, which will be held at Hillwood Commons, is co-sponsored by the Department of Counseling and Development at LIU Post and the Long Island Chapter of the New York Mental Health Counselors Association.
“We are excited to hold the seventh annual Mental Health Counseling Symposium at LIU Post,” said James J. Colangelo, Psy.D., chair of the Department of Counseling and Development at LIU Post. “It provides a great opportunity for clinicians and students to network, learn from each other, and attend valuable workshops on the latest treatments and strategies available to counselors today.”
Cost is $50 for professionals and $30 for students and includes breakfast and lunch. All interested graduate students and professionals within the mental health community are welcome to attend.
