The Tax and Accounting Institute is an organization of CPAs, attorneys and other professionals who meet periodically throughout the year for the purpose of discussing technical tax and accounting matters and helping practitioners maintain and upgrade their skills. The Tax and Accounting Institute was established in 1963 to conduct independent research on the problems of local, state and federal taxation and accounting.
The institute provides numerous evening sessions as well as special all-day and half-day seminars. Seminars on a variety of topics of interest to tax and accounting professionals. Recent Institute seminars have covered estate and retirement planning, state and local taxation, recent developments in federal taxation as well as accounting and auditing updates. The Institute's programs qualify for the mandatory CPE for Certified Public Accountants, Public Accountants and Enrolled Agents.
Annual membership dues are $100.
