Thomas Bowman, Ed.D., is a professor of education. He began his career as a middle school and high school teacher and by the age of 24 was a public school principal in the State of Washington. Dr. Bowman joined the faculty at the C.W. Post Campus in 1967 and served as a professor and the chair of the Department of Educational Leadership and Administration as well as the dean of the Graduate School of Education. He was the recipient of the Dean’s Recognition Award and is the co-author of two books, one of which earned recognition as a national best seller. Dr. Bowman has been interviewed on more than 400 radio and television programs, and his writing has been reviewed nationally in major publications. He was the co-founder of the Catholic Learning Center, which for a period of 33 years provided academic intervention initiatives for more than 30,000 children on Long Island and in New York City as well as counseling services for 18,000 children and adults.
