Description

Dr. Dodson is a certified New York State School Counselor.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the College of William and Mary, a Master of Education degree in school counseling from Cambridge College, and a Doctor of Education degree in Counseling Psychology specializing in Counselor Education and Supervision from Argosy University.

Her research interests include multicultural counseling competence, social justice and advocacy, and school counseling.  Before accepting a faculty position with the LIU Department of Counseling and Development in 2013, Dr. Dodson was a visiting assistant professor with Duquesne University.  She was a high school counselor with Charlottesville City Schools for five years before entering higher education.  She is an adjunct instructor with Liberty University.
