William Saffady is a professor at Long Island University’s Palmer School of Library and Information Science. He previously held faculty appointments at the State University of New York at Albany, Vanderbilt University, Pratt Institute and Wayne State University. Dr. Saffady is the author of over three dozen books and many articles on information management topics, including records management, electronic document management, information storage technologies, and library automation. In addition to teaching and writing, Dr. Saffady serves as a consultant, providing training and analytical services to corporations, government agencies and other organizations.
