B.S. in Business Administration (Concentration in Finance)
The 129-credit Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance prepares you for a diverse career in all aspects of global financial management. Specialized courses cover corporate financial management, management investment and stock portfolios, banking, investment banking and the management of financial institutions.
The Department of Finance, through its curriculum and faculty, brings new and vital research into the classroom and guide you through the challenges of the current marketplace. You will learn to master and apply financial concepts, including the valuation of assets; the present and future values of cash flows; the value of currency; and the application of interest rates.
Outside the classroom, participation in the LIU Post student chapter of the Financial Management Association International will allow you to meet leaders in the finance industry and to develop your own leadership and organizational skills. Through the Department’s outstanding intern program, you will have an opportunity to gain real-world experience with leading corporations.
