Art Portfolio Scholarship Review Days

For Freshman and Transfer Students

If you’re a high school student or college transfer student who is seriously interested in drawing, design, painting, sculpture, photography or computer graphics, here’s your chance to channel your passion into a college education at LIU Post.

At Art Scholarship Portfolio Review Day, you can have your portfolio reviewed by art professionals from the LIU Post faculty. Students with outstanding portfolios will be eligible for scholarship. During the Portfolio Review Day, you can also tour the Art Department’s studios and facilities, meet with professors and current students and learn more about student activities. Scholarships can be applied to:

Art Scholarship Portfolio Review Day is held twice annually, in October and March.

To make an appointment to present your portfolio (maximum of 12-15 pieces), call us at 516-299-2464. The portfolio should best exemplify your skills in any or all of the following areas: drawing, design, photography, painting, sculpture or computer graphics. Presentations in original format are preferred, but work may also be presented in slide or CD format. Any pieces larger than 24” x 36” must be in slide or CD format.

Students who are selected to continue in the competition will be asked to participate in a second interview. At this final interview, candidates will meet the Art Department Scholarship Committee who will evaluate portfolios for possible scholarship.
