Do we really know the story of Judas? Was he betrayer or betrayed? Gurgis' modern, gritty play asks us to see past what we think we know as Judas' lawyers battle for his soul in a mythical trial. The audience experiences an intense journey of mercy, forgiveness, free will, culpability, raw humor, utter despair, and, ultimately, a prevailing sense of hope.
