Welcome to LIU Post. We congratulate you on your acceptance. While this is an exciting time, we understand there is much planning and preparation that is needed to finalize your enrollment at LIU Post. This section provides a checklist of things you need to do to be sure that you are ready to become a student here. Whether you are an entering freshman, transfer, graduate or international student, you will find everything you need on our Web site to ensure a seamless transition to our University.
Please click on the "Checklist" (see left side of page) that best describes your student category. Then, simply follow the directions. Remember that we are always here to help you and to answer any questions you may have.

IT’S TIME TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES
Once you have submitted your tuition deposit you can register for classes. We encourage all freshmen and transfer students to work one-on-one with their Academic Advisor when creating their schedules. Please call Academic and Career Planning at 516-299-2746 or email post-ac@liu.edu.
You can also register for classes by attending any of our Freshman Registration Days:
Tuesday, May 14 from 12:30 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Tuesday, June 18 from 12:30 to 8 p.m.
Enrollment Services Days are open to new freshmen, transfer and graduate students:
Tuesday, July 16 from 3 to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday, August 20 from 3 to 7:30 p.m.
If you are unable to attend any of these events, we encourage you to make a personal appointment your Academic Advisor by calling 516-299-2746 or post-ac@liu.edu.
New Student Orientation
LIU Post’s orientation sessions are specially designed for freshman, transfers, adult students (adults 25 and over) and international students. These mandatory sessions are held in August and early September for students enrolling for the Fall semester, and in January for those enrolling for the Spring semester.

Academic and Career Counseling
The Academic and Career Planning office, located in Kumble Hall, is a central place for undergraduate students to receive expert advising and assistance with choosing a major and registering for classes. Please download the Admitted Student Packet and return your forms to LIU Post as soon as possible to save your place in the 2013 class! Download the Admitted Student Packet here. Remember to register for your classes by making an appointment with Academic Advising at 516-299-2746.

If you have already submitted your tuition deposit for Fall 2013, we will send you the "Welcome Packet" with additional instructions about health forms, New Student Orientation, registering for classes, dining services, and important deadline dates. You may also download the "Welcome Packet" here.
