Graduate Education Tailored to Fit Your Needs

As a graduate student at LIU Post you will interact closely with professors who are experts in their subjects and master educators. Research, advanced inquiry and critical thinking will broaden your abilities, deepen your confidence and expand your perspective.

Flexible Schedules

Most LIU Post graduate classes meet in the late afternoon and evening, with some courses offered on weekends. Or you can choose a year-round schedule, including three six-week summer sessions and one-week graduate institutes. Whether you undertake a full-time course load or balance your studies with a busy professional and family life, you will find options that work for you. Ample free parking, round-the-clock professional security and an assortment of on-campus cafeterias and grab-and-go convenience food make life easier for busy graduate students.

Student Resources

LIU Post students enjoy access to extraordinary educational and cultural resources including the 2-million-volume B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library; Long Island's premier concert venue, Tilles Center for the Performing Arts (with discounted admission for students); the celebrated Steinberg Museum of Art (formerly known as Hillwood Art Museum); plays, concerts and dance productions by LIU Post's own student and faculty performing groups, and the state-of-the-art Pratt Recreation Center -- all on a 307-acre campus in north-central Nassau County that is considered one of the New York metro area's most beautiful academic settings.

Small Class Sizes & Academic Support

Central to our success is our commitment to small classes and personal education. The overall student-to-faculty ratio is a low 12:1. LIU Post professors are more than instructors -- they are mentors who teach with the dedication and commitment that are the hallmarks of private graduate education.

Career Opportunities

Graduate students and alumni have a wide array of career-building tools available at LIU Post's award-winning career services and cooperative education center. The LIU Post Alumni Association offers a valuable and enjoyable way to network with classmates and the thousands of LIU Post alumni in influential positions throughout the world.
