Employer Advisory Board
WHO WE ARE:
The LIU Post Employer Advisory Board (EAB) is a forum for employers, faculty and students to discuss trends in industry, education and employment to better prepare students for rewarding careers. The board meets four to six times a year on campus and is comprised of representatives from local businesses across Long Island and into the five boroughs. LIU Post faculty, administrators, alumni and students also participate to provide information and guidance to the LIU Post campus on issues related to the workforce and preparation of our students.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN
The Employer Advisory Board assists the campus and the career center in developing programs that address the career preparation of our students. As someone from industry, you can bring your needs and ideas about the development of college students to fill positions in today’s workforce. Many members participate in career panels, classroom presentations, career fairs, practice interview sessions and other campus wide events.
Additionally, it is an opportunity to network and discuss critical industry issues that businesses are facing. Members can benefit from our career forums, participate in events and work together in committees. Meeting topics are member driven, and open forums are encouraged.
