Division for Student Success
LIU Post is distinguished by its supportive community dedicated to seeing you succeed in your education, your career and your life. The Division for Student Success prides itself on its superb support programs to help you succeed in college. We provide professional academic and career advisement; cooperative education and experiential learning; tutoring in all subject matters; health and wellness counseling; study abroad opportunities; and faculty and peer mentorship programs. We will help you achieve a great balance between your education both inside and outside of the classroom. LIU Post is a community of staff and faculty members committed to making you feel welcome and comfortable on your journey toward earning a college degree.
Academic and Career Counseling

The Academic and Career Counseling office, located in Kumble Hall, is a central place for undergraduate students to receive expert advising and assistance with choosing a major and career path, applying transfer credits to a plan of study, understanding degree requirements, preparing a resume and learning successful job search techniques. Our knowledgeable counselors will work with you to explore study abroad and internship opportunities, and act as a referral agent to other campus services and resources.
Center for Student Information

The Center for Student Information, located in Hillwood Commons, answers all student-related questions about academics, records, registration and billing in one convenient location. Our professional staff provides personal assistance, on the spot, or can point you in the right direction for help. The CSI also assists students in understanding and navigating the My LIU self-service portal and serves as a referral service to appropriate departments and resources on Campus. We are always available to help you on any aspect of your student life where you are not sure who to approach.
Career Services and Cooperative Education

LIU Post offers a full range of career services to help you gain valuable on-the-job work experience, meet professionals in your field of study, and build a resume, while you are still in college. Our counselors will prepare you for the world of work by providing job strategy workshops, interview coaching and networking nights. LIU Post’s job bank includes more than 500 employers throughout the New York metropolitan area, and the Campus hosts virtual and on-campus career fairs. Our nationally renowned Cooperative Education program places eligible students in paid internships.
Learning Support Center

The Learning Support Center (LSC) provides a full range of support services, educational strategies, and opportunities to help student achieve their personal, academic and vocational goals. The LSC services include the Academic Resource Program for documented learning disabled students; Disability Support Services for students with documented disabilities; the Program for Academic Success for students who do not qualify for regular admissions acceptance to the University; the Peer Mentor Program to assist incoming freshman in making a smooth transition from high school to college life; and the Peer Tutoring Program, which provide free tutoring to undergraduate students.
