Description
Hannia has been teaching Spanish as a second language for over 14 year and has worked at a variety of educational institutes. She attended the Institute of Costa Rican Culture and Language, where she also worked for over nine years. There, she participated in a variety of workshops and trainings on language-level placement-based on oral skills, educational evaluation, analysis of literary texts, teaching methods and the creation of teaching materials. She is creative, active and innovative, qualities that prove beneficial in the classroom. She enjoys oil painting and pastel drawing, reading and listening to classical music. She has participated in folkloric dance and theater groups, as well as in painting exhibits in her community. She enjoys art crafts. She has worked for the Costa Rican Ministry of Education in the Department of Artisanry of the Liceo de Poás public high school in the province of Alajuela.
Hannia teaches Spanish with love and responsibility, while challenging her students not only to learn but to value the cultural atmosphere that surrounds them.
