Career Counseling

Counseling staff are available to assist alumni with Résumé and cover letter reviews and job search strategy development either via phone or in the office. To make an appointment with a counselor, please contact our receptionist at 718-488-1042 and indicate if the appointment will be in the office or on the phone. Prior to your appointment, please ensure you have registered for MyCareerKey.

We will serve you as soon as possible; however, please note that your appointment will be scheduled based on availability.

Online Career Management System

Alumni are encouraged to register for and use our career management system/job bank, MyCareerKey, to search for opportunities, to learn about and register for on- and off-campus career-related events and to research employers with whom our office maintains a relationship.


Alumni may take advantage of the ReadyMinds distance career counseling. ReadyMinds provides telecounseling and online interaction on a variety of career–related issues by a career counselor. Some of the services that are provided include self-assessment, career exploration, goal clarification, and how to market your professional experience through resumes and cover letter. Alumni can also benefit from a myriad of resources that help them navigate through the job search process.
