Leave of Absence Information/Policy & Form

Global Studies B.A. students are permitted to take a leave of absence up to one year and return to their existing program. If students take a leave of absence longer than one year, they must re-apply for admission to the currently offered academic program.

Students must fill out the Long Island University Application for Withdrawal (Sections B, D1-4, D6, F) and an LIU Global Application for Leave of Absence. Students must follow all the steps outlined in LIU Global’s Leave of Absence Policy. A student on a leave of absence will be contacted to register for the semester they are due to return.
