The Fundraising Campaign

Make an Impact!

With a project cost of $4.5 million, the goal of the PIONEER SPIRIT CAMPAIGN is to raise a $1.5 million naming sponsorship and $1.5 million in donations from alumni, corporations, parents and friends. The theme of the campaign is “Make an Impact!,” a message designed to convey how everyone – students, alumni, faculty and staff – can contribute to the future of their community by making a donation to this project. The campaign committee is co-chaired by alumni and Long Island University trustees Peter Gibson '82 and Sal Naro '83, and is made up of alumni, students, staff and parents who are working diligently to secure gifts of all levels.

The campaign is accepting pledges that can be paid over a period of three to five years, a policy that will allow everyone, regardless of age or size of donation, to make a larger impact on the project then they might have initially believed.

PLEASE JOIN OUR TAKE A SEAT CAMPAIGN

We invite you to take your place as part of LIU Post's history, and its future, by naming a seat in the newly renovated stadium. The “Take a Seat” Campaign is intended to give alumni, family, faculty, staff, and friends of LIU Post an affordable and meaningful way to contribute to the new stadium renovation.

Show your support by sponsoring a new stadium seat—or a whole row! Naming a seat is an opportunity to become a permanent part of LIU Post's legacy. The cost to purchase a seat is $1,000 and can be paid over a period of 5 years (that's only $200 a year!). Each seat will feature a permanent engraved donor plaque. You can engrave your name or the name of a friend or loved one whom you would like to honor or memorialize. Plaques can also be a memorable way to recognize a group, class, or commemorate a special achievement or significant event. NAMING OPPORTUNITIES

Additional fundraising for the Pioneer Spirit Campaign will supplement the naming sponsor with several other major naming gifts: for naming the field, for construction of a new stadium-enclosing berm, for a new press box, which will also support coaching staff and recording facilities, for an elevator to make the stadium ADA compliant, and lastly for a plaza that will connect the new stadium to the Pratt Recreation Center. The University will make a significant equity investment of $1.2-$1.5 million, and seeks the remainder through launching this campaign.

LIU Post is turning to its alumni and friends as well as corporate sponsors, to help make the dream of a new athletics facility a reality for our students. Naming opportunities exist at many gift levels for donors to recognize businesses, class years, family members and friends.

DONOR RECOGNITION

At the entrance to the stadium, visible to all who attend events there, a Donor Wall will be developed in acknowledgement of donations to the Pioneer Spirit Campaign. Donors will be identified as:

Leaders	$100,000 plus
Groundbreakers	$50,000
Pioneers	$25,000
Pathfinders	$10,000
Trailblazers	$5,000
Guides	$2,500

 

Donations at any level are fully tax-deductible. Pledges can be paid over a period of three to five years.
