Open House at Rockland Graduate Campus of Long Island University on November 4

Orangeburg, N.Y. – In these tough economic times, earning a master's degree is a great way to enhance your marketability, increase your knowledge base and gain workplace recognition, all while increasing your lifetime earnings.

If you are yearning for a new occupation or want to move ahead in your current position, a master's degree or advanced certificate from the Rockland Graduate Campus of Long Island University is the first step toward a switch in vocations, professional advancement or personal development. Spring classes begin January 14, 2009.

Faculty, admissions and financial aid counselors will be available at an Open House on Tuesday, November 4 from 5 p.m. -7 p.m. to discuss graduate programs available from the only university in Rockland County. Learn about 14 graduate degree programs in business administration, health administration, public administration, teacher education, educational leadership, school counseling, mental health counseling and pharmaceutics. To help pay for their education, the Rockland Graduate Campus offers scholarships for students and financial aid is available. Those who attend the Open House will have their application fee waived.

In addition, a free Teacher Certification Workshop will be held at 4:30 p.m. and a Mental Health Counseling Licensure Workshop at will be held at 5 p.m.

The Rockland Graduate Campus provides a quality education to working professionals. The small campus setting features faculty members who are experts in their field, low student-to-faculty ratio and a campus support system designed to help students every step of the way, from the first day of classes until graduation. Courses are offered in the late afternoons, evenings and on weekends to afford working students an opportunity to balance their educational objectives with family and business demands.
