Rockland Campus Holds Its 22nd Commencement Ceremony

Long Island University

On May 21, 2009, the Rockland Graduate Campus held its 22nd Commencement exercise with more than 90 students receiving their degrees. The Commencement, which was held in the auditorium, was filled with the graduates' spouses, parents and children. The commencement speaker was Ms. Amy Eddings, the host of "All Things Considered" New York's flagship station WNYC's syndicated talkshow. The ceremony was attended by many senior administrators of Long Island University and members of the Board of Trustees. The Grand Marshall of the academic procession was Professor Elaine Geller, Program Director, Special Education and Literacy. Dr. Nancy Low Hogan, Associate Provost of the Rockland Campus, was the presiding officer and administered the awarding of 12 academic achievement awards to the graduating students.
