LIU Hudson's newly registered Advanced Certificate in Bilingual Early Childhood Education provides certified teachers with the credentials that local school districts are seeking as they struggle to fill teacher vacancies in their bilingual early childhood programs.
The Advanced Certificate in Bilingual Early Childhood Education provides certified teachers who are proficient in English and one other language with the opportunity to earn certification for early childhood , birth through grade two, along with the NYS Bilingual Extension via institutional recommendation. Courses include early childhood and bilingual education theory and practice and are taught by experienced professionals with real world teaching experience.
In addition to this coursework, NYS requires students demonstrate proficiency in both English and the language in which the certificate is sought by passing the NYSTCE Bilingual Education Assessment (BEA) as well as the CST Multisubjects Early Childhood.
