Letter to Alums

Dear Educational Leadership Graduate:

If you are thinking about a doctorate, the information that follows may be of interest to you.  LIU Hudson is pleased to announce a unique opportunity for our educational leadership graduates to earn an Ed.D.  at significant savings of time and cost. This opportunity is open only to LIU grads.

Designed for working educators and those in education related fields, the LIU Post Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies will allow the transfer of 18 credits from your LIU Hudson MS.Ed.  or Advanced Certificate in Educational Leadership into the doctoral program to satisfy the concentration requirement.  With the concentration requirement met, 33 additional credits – 24 in core and 9 in dissertation work – are required for completion of the 51 credit doctoral program.

The LIU Post Ed.D. is a research-based program that uses a cohort model to bring together students with backgrounds in a variety of education related fields. Through the fostering of interdisciplinary thinking, the program leads doctoral candidates to understand the complex issues fundamental to educational innovation and change. The Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Educational Studies provides the training required for advancement and the enhancement of research, pedagogy and leadership skills.
