Riverhead, N.Y.- An upper division bachelor's degree in childhood education will be offered at Long Island University at Riverhead beginning in September. The new program will be the university's first undergraduate degree program at the Riverhead location.

The Bachelor of Science in childhood education joins four master's degrees and two graduate-level advanced certificates in the Long Island University at Riverhead catalogue. Classes will begin Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The new degree program, written in collaboration with Suffolk County Community College, will offer the junior and senior years of the B.S. in childhood education. Students with an associate degree from Suffolk County Community College may seamlessly transfer into the program. Students transferring from other colleges will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
